service number 854585615600 then a space and 990239008883

Its from ikea and I believe a smeg machine branded whirlpool.

Received great help here a few years back for the same machine. The fault this time is different, the programme commences for a couple of minutes then machine beeps and (from l to r on my 5 leds) 1 flashes and 5 is lit solid. I do the reset thing (switch on and press prog button 4 times within 3 seconds) then switch off. When i switch on leds 4 and 5 both flash together.

Any ideas? Advice? thanks in advance.

Flood protection is activated. Either the base tray is flooded and the float switch has risen up to work the switch, or the air pressure system has activated it if the pressure switch is not working.

Power off before working on the appliance.

had 1 successful rinse cycle, but when tried a full cycle – failure 🙁 , bottom tray full of water, so a leak somewhere, will get an engineer out to observe and repair.
Thanks again for the help, its really appreciated.

Spoke to the local engineer – as found on this site – who didn’t want to come and see it!
However, they advised to clean the water outlet and stop using tablets, so I disassembled as much as I was confident to and removed a lot of gunk. Its just completed a second pot wash cycle whilst empty with no detergent and seems to be ok, so thanks for the advice from a Cupar based firm. I will get some loose detergent tomorrow and stop using tablets in the dishwasher.
    Thanks again for the help.
