Smeg DWF614SS dishwasher. Serial no: 0441251-28.

F8 (according to the user manual) is a filling / time out type fault. I reset the computer by switching off, opening the door and waiting until the light went out, shutting the door and switching on again. Now the programmes could be selected as normal. The machine filled, washed, and heated perfectly. Everything seemed to be OK.
Now the F8 error has reappeared. 😕

    Any help please?

    Steve.

    Thanks!!!!
These Smeg machines seem to be very problematic – I have 3 to see in the next 2 days (all dishwashers). 😯
It’s difficult to remember the regular faults, their codes and cures. Bloody diagnostics! Dishwashers worked fine without them for 30 years or more; so why re-invent the wheel?
Shouldn’t complain though; it’s paid work after all!! :conf:

    Cheers!!

Remember though there are a lot more Smeg products around these days than ever before. A lot of these new build estates are fitted with Smeg appliances. On the whole, Smeg are a lot more reliable and easier to repair then they used to be and, being regarded as a prestige brand, customers are willing to pay for repair too.
