Hi All, I have a smeg DWF64SSE. When starting a program the drain pump starts for 2 seconds and then stops. The four programme lights come on and that is it.
I have checked the drain pump and it is not blocked. The impeller turns OK.
I have seen a similar problem on the forum refering to the dispenser coil.
Is this an easy part to check?

    Many Thanks

All 4 lights coming on is not a recognised fault code so points to the PCB being corrupted.

You may find that the mains suppressor has failed, or, as you have mentioned, the dispenser solenoid is playing up. Dampness and dodgy wiring can affect it.

The kicker is that you need to know that the dispenser or mains suppressor works correctly before addressing the PCB, so it can get rather pricey…….

    Many Thanks for the reply.

I will try and have a quick look today for anything obvious.
If not I will lok for a UKW engineer in the Warrington area.

    Thanks again

The dispenser solenoid was the problem.
I think the wife wants a new one anyway.
    Any recomendations?
    Thanks again
