Re: Smeg DWF64SSE
Hi I had one of these some time ago I tried metering every thing on the machine except the soap dispenser to find the fault , and could not find any faulty components I then contacted an engineer who worked for Smeg who told me to check soap dispenser solenoid low and behold it was open circuit I replaced it and machine worked fine. Who would have thought it would cause such a problem, the PCB must do a check of every component on the machine before it starts a program and will not start if it finds anything faulty.
I used a coil off a water solenoid to replace the faulty one and it worked fine. Cost of a replacement soap dispenser from Smeg is megabucks.
