I should hope they’re okay, its my company! 😉

    And the URL is http://www.nwar.co.uk

According to the information I have here simply powering the machine down with the door open should reset it, but it doesn’t look right in all honesty as it’s normall a bit more complex than that but worth a go.

    A bit more digging and…

Try this, open the door with teh power OFF at mains. Switch on and press the start/pause button 4 times within 3 seconds, that should get you in or out of the test cycle.

If that doesn’t work it’s engineer time I’m afraid and, from the symptoms, it does sound as if the controller’s duff if the above doesn’t solve it. 🙁

    Re: SMEG DWF66 Reset Procedure?

    Cheers kwatt,

Thanks for the help, and sorry for the typoed URL!

I am more than happy to pay for engineer time if it requires the skills of an engineer to sort the problem. And where I am concerned that is anyhting that requires the use of a screwdriver.

However my grievance is with Smeg who do not publish the required information. We have paid good money for the machine – we should be told which combination of key presses will allow us to exit a test cycle!

    Thanks again.

    Cheers,

    Martin
