SMEG DWF66SS Error code 8

Hey just wondered if anyone can help me out with my tempermental SMEG dishwasher DWF66SS which is currently showing E8, an error code which is not in the user manual.

I am not very technically minded but know that my ‘other’-more-technical half has already replaced the capacitor which had blown; which fixed the problem for a few washes. then has replaced the pump which fixed the problem for a couple of weeks. Now the machine is showing the E8 error code so i daren’t use it incase it makes matters worse.

I’d be really grateful for any advice on what this error message means and whether it is easily remedied!?

That one doesn’t come up very often 😉

E8 is a water distribution problem, where the water is diverted between the upper and lower baskets alternately, something has failed there.

Not a DIY job to be honest, try the repairs@ link below for an engineer to have a look at it for you 🙂
