SMEG DWI 410 will not stop.

I posted a problem with this dishwasher recently (it flooded) and with your help and some luck I appeared to have remedied the fault.

However after working properly for a week or so the dishwasher now has developed another problem. It finishes the cycle, the dishes are clean and dry, the program button is blinking showing it is finished, but the fan for the drying process does not turn off. The machine switches off when the door is opened and the fan goes off. If you close the door again the fan comes on again.

If after opening the door we switch the on/off button off, we can switch on and use the machine again for the next wash as usual, but again when the cycle is finished, the fan does not stop.

I have tried it on two different programs but the fault is the same.

Have you any ideas as to wht the problem can be.

Never come across this before but as you said the machine flooded, it is likely that water has got on the fan motor and damaged either the motor itself (slight earth fault maybe) or the pcb/timer. (or even both) Either way its going to be tricky to determine which without repalcement although an engineer should be able to test the fan motor with a megger.
