Smeg DWI 67.1 E9 error – how do I reset? please help

Hi,
My Smeg DWI 67.1 (type 12045) pumps for a few seconds, beeps then displays E9, regardless of which program I set.
I’ve searched through this forum and found many references that say this isn’t a real error and to do a reset.
I’ve searched the forum for Smeg and reset and can find reset instructions that relate to what lights should be on when – but the DWI67.1 doesn’t have pretty lights – it has an LCD display.
Can anyone help with answers to:-
1) What does error E9 mean (it’s not listed in my manual – they only go up to E6)
2) If a reset is required – how do I reset this model of DW when it has the LCD display and not the lights?
