smeg DWI 710 E

Hi
a fault seems to have developed with the above dishwasher. when i start it on a cycle it beeps and then whirs for about a second and then stops then every 3 seconds try again for about 6 attempts and then freeze up.

I have cleaned all the filters in the washer and tried the reset i found on this forum (although it does not seem to work as described)
was working fine until last night
any help greatfully received

You could try resetting it (use forum search for “smeg and reset”), if that doesn’t work it’s engineer time to be honest, various component failures can cause errors on these electronically controlled models.

The repairs@ link below should provide an engineer should the need arise 🙂

can anyone tell me what the resistance should be on the thermostat on the back of the dishwasher door?

Thermistor – in Kohms, falling as temperature rises. Power off, mind the door edges – you can shave with them.
