Tried to reset the usual way with no success Does this mean its a PCB fault issue ? Read up on QER Workington for repair, would just like to know if this is the right direction for a solution. PS is the PCB in the door or in the back ? Thanks, November 26, 2009 at 8:16 pm #304933 Penguin45Participant Re: Smeg DWI16 12C Lights 4 & 5 on Lights 4+5 indicate that the programme has completed. If the door latch is in the closed position, you cannot reprogramme the machine. Re-set procedure is only appropriate for the E7 error. Pcb is in the facia – next to the door latch. 😀 Stay safe, power off if you intend to resolve this yourself. Penguin45. So could it be a stuck closed door switch, leaving it in a mode that cannot be reset ? PS when the door is closed a pump momentarily starts then stops and this keeps repeating, does this help with any diagnosis ? You’re almost certainly looking at a corruption issue with the PCB. You’d better have a read of THIS ARTICLE. No simple or cheap solution, I’m afraid. Penguin45.
