    Hello everyone,

I have a Smeg DWI45 dishwasher that was already in place when we bought our house so i’m unsure of the age of the appliance. Recently i noticed a couple of problems firstly on one occasion the cycle did not complete and the machine had not fully emptied (there was a couple of cm of water remaining in the base of the machine) this was occompanied by an error code on the controls although i can’t exactly remember what it was. I cleared the filter out, switched it off and back on and it then emptied itself. Also the machine cycle is taking considerably longer than it originally did, up to about 3 and a bit hours on the eco setting! Finally i noticed that the kickboard below the dishwasher was becoming warped so removed it to find a collection of water around the front left of the machine.

Does this sound symptomatic of a major issue i.e. pump related or could it be the door seal and the anti-flood device has tripped in?

Many thanks and be gentle, it’s my first post 🙂

    Re: Smeg DWI45 leak

It could be leaking from numerous places to be honest, any of which may seep forward.

The leak needs investigating, please power off if you look further or check the repairs@ link below for an engineer to assess for you 🙂

    Dave.
