ParticipantRecently my dishwasher has been beeping at random intervals even when the door is not closed. Then today it locked up with the third light(from the left) illuminated and wouldn’t let me change the program.
I’ve made sure that all of the filters are clean and that the system is drained correctly etc. I then tried the reset method described in another post I managed to get the 1st and 5th light illuminated but couldn’t get one of the to disappear after pressing the program button again. It remained stuck with 1and 5 lit. I then tried closing the door and the machine started correctly. Great I though, it might go through a cycle and then start working normally but it stopped after about 10mins with another error and failed to drain. I closed the door again and it carried on for another few minutes and failed again with another beep. I closed the door again and it drained the system correctly but finish with all five lights flashing.
Any ideas what is going on??
Thanks in advance.

You’re probably in some sort of test mode. Switch on the machine and press the programme twice within three seconds. Switch off the machine, switch on and see what happens. Youy may need to try this several times before it catches.

Many thanks for this. I tried the method described and got light four solid and five flashing I couldn’t get the system to exit this mode no matter how many times if tried the proceedure.
I tried reset proc again.turned on machine + pressed prgramme button 4 times
I got 1 solid 5 flashing
function key would not remove either lights. All i could do was close the door.
The system ran through a cycle but finshed with a single beep. and the light combination – 2 and 3 solid 5 flashing the system not drained
Closed the door but nothing – pressed prog and got the light combination 4 solid 5 flashing
closed the door
continued for a minute or so stopped with out draining with light combination – 1 and 4 solid 5 flashing – constant beeping
pressed the button again and closed the door
System drained finishing with all lights flashing
The system seems to be heating correctly and draining correctly but seems to be stopping at each stage of the cycle???It there anything I can try other than the above?
Thanks

The smoke and smell of electrical burning tells me that this not just my machine getting confused! Guess it’s time to call a repair man or buy a new machine.
Thanks for your help.

How do I drain the system without power?? is there a valve i can release? I don’t want to plug this in again but the repair man may be a few days and I don’t want it to start smelling.
Thanks,
