Smeg DWI612C burnt PCB

    Got this one with charred PCB at the bottom where connecters fit on. Possibly liquid coffee ingress, but is there another common reason for this? Wiring seems to come from on off switch.

    FYI removed PCB. Tracks also blown on blue wire to inlet valve and to pressure switch. Tested everything with meter/megger. fitted PCB all ok but did not wait long enough for glasss wash to finish main wash with heat. was washing a long time. Will wait and see….

    this will happen if customer always leaves the main on/off switch on. as long as it’s on it is cooking components on the pcb i.e. resistors and electrolytic capacitors. sometimes they die sometimes the burn out and take the board with them.
