Smeg DWI612C fills with water,rinse stop,but no error lights

Hi,
when selecting the wash programme the drain pump kicks in as normal and drains then water enters the machine and you can hear it sloshing around.

Then the machine stops which i assume may be on the heat cycle??But nothing happens there is cold water in the bottom of the machine and the cycle advances no further ,there are no error lights just the steady programme light

If you turn off machine at button on panel and back on again it remains at same state.

If I turn off at plug for few secs at reselect programme it empties and then goes through to the same stage again.

Any suggestions, stat,element ???

Are you saying that it fills and starts to circulate, then stops?

Yes …it did ..But I did the reset procedure as stated on this forum and it worked fingers crossed
