    Hi, I have the Smeg DWI612C dishwasher. When I switch it on, it seems to fill ok then after about 4 minutes, there is a humming noise, few seconds later that is all I can hear from it, everything else stops.

    Any ideas anyone please?.

    faulty wash pump or capacitor (if you’re lucky)

    Thank you Johnsdad.

    See the capacitor is a cheap part so maybe try that first. Is it a dishwasher drain pump for the other part?

    no, the wash pump. Please unplug before checking anything
