Smeg DWI612C integrated dishwasher. Serial no. 0429580243. One button PCB: no display.
When the program button is pressed, the PCB beeps as usual, but the indicator LED doesn’t move along. The dishwasher will not function.
Press the button many times quite hard and eventually it will select and start. 😕
I’m pretty sure it’s the PCB at fault, but it’s a costly item and I would like a second opinion please!!
Hi, Chris!! :waving:
When you press the button you can clearly hear the click of the switch underneath – but nothing happens. Then if you press repeatedly, say, 8 – 9 times it MAY eventually start.
Looks like the customer is considering replacing it unless I can pull a solution out of the hat……. :rolls:
Assuming the door switch hasnt rolled over or is faulty. (occasionally water can get through the slot in the door and get into the door microswitch causing similar problems. Also check the pressure/float switch in the base, water can run down the wires and burn out the connectors, again causing mysterious progrmme faults. Other thant the good old soap dispenser coil fault then I am affraid it will be the pcb.
