SMEG DWI614 – door opening

Hi
Was hoping to get some advice/help.
I have a SMEG DWI614. The issue is that sporadically, the door will click open mid cycle or within a few minutes of starting the cycle?
Any ideas?

Hi tanky,

It could be as simple as the door lock being faulty, that’s from this link. The door lock on Smeg dishwashers are or can be, shall we say, problematic.

However there was a similar thread that ran a while back, here that seems that the hinges can also cause an issue, so it may be worth taking a look at them as well.

That was my original post!! It wasn’t the hinges…just need new seals and door catch.

I’ll have a look at the door lock issue…many thanks
