This dishwasher has melted the plastic that holds the dispenser unit solenoid valve in place, I have a replacemant dispenser unit which I fitted in, as soon as switched on, the valve is permantly powered 240V during the wash (which explains why it melted).

My question is will fitting a pcb solve this problem as its an expensive part at £100 notes?

    thanks

There is a good chance that the triac on the board is faulty. Trace the wires from the valve, and solder on a new one. It might be worth a go
