Had my smeg for 7 years with no problems (apart from a power cut which brought up the flow meter error message – usual procudure for reset pressing program button 4 times in 3 seconds etc sorted that out).
We just had a new kitchen fitted and decided to reuse the dishwasher. It worked fine for a week then door catch seemed to break. Got an engineer out who said the fascia had gone (plastic was clearly broken) so got a new one fitted and all fine – for two weeks.
Now, all the cycles (except rinse which is fine) run for a few mins, stop, go beep beep, then start again. This goes on for hours and we have to open door to stop it and then run rinse to clear it. There are no error faults but water doesn’t now seem to be heating up.
Any suggestions? I’ll call the engineer but wanted to know what it might be before I call him. Want to know whether it might be something he has done…
