    Hi,

    Am seeking a replacement for above ( Part ID EL145/251.64A) as the existing has just died on me 🙁

    They seem very expensive with little choice of suppliers. Is it likely to be the unit itself or is there other circuitry involved? Needless to say the cooker is only 3 months out of warranty!

    Have had the old one out – it seems pretty straightforward to replace, once we’ve saved up enough to buy it!

    Hi Baz,

    If you call Smeg and explain how disappointed you are that a quality product has failed in that way just out of warranty they will likely make some concession towards a repair.

    Smeg are usually pretty decent that way. 😉
