    I have a Smeg FAB32 that was delivered with a 2-pin European plug rather than a standard UK 3-pin one. From my “limited” knowledge of electrical matters, the voltage indicated on the plate is 230, so is an adaptor sufficient, or does the lead need replacing? What about earth issues?

    You’ll need to cut the 2 pin plug off and fit a 3 pin UK plug as adaptors (on the whole) don’t allow for the earth connection.
