ParticipantHi – I am hoping someone can offer some advice here. I recently purchased a second hand FAB32 which was delivered today, this was to replace an old one we had that was declared recently dead. The fridge was delivered and put in place a few hours ago and after leaving it to settle for a while went to switch it on. On inspecting the rear lining of the fridge I noticed that the top right hand corners had comer was not “attached” to the rear or the fridge and could be pushed in a little. I then turned the fridge on and left it a while and the lining appears to be more attached to the rear of the fridge. This is only a small area around 5cm square in the top right – but I am concerned that this is a sign that there is a bigger issue. I have turned the frisge off again to see if the lining detaches again.
I have a couple of weeks to return the fridge so was wandering if this was/could be a sign of a major issue (or nothing to be concerned about). Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

KeymasterIf the inner liner is split or loose as I think your mean, it’s scrap I’m afraid.
You can, theoretically repair it but it’s a huge hassle and a lot of work to do so.

Thanks K – the lining is not ripped – just unstuck from the back in about a 4cm section in the top right at the back. As I said when the fridge is on it appears to get seucked back against the soldi rear but when off/at room temperature it is slightly unstuck and you can push it back with your finger. Will this just get worse and the fridge stop working?

KeymasterIt won’t stop it “working”.
Water will condense in there, form an ice ball and push the liner out, the fridge will not maintain temperatures correctly etc, etc.
Which is probably why it was gotten rid of.
