SMEG fault code F8

Hi — machine pumps and starts to fill but then bleeps and comes up with F8 code but does nothing else. All componants seem ok to the eye but noticed top pcb cover felt hot after only 30secs. Does this sound like a pcb fault ??? Model : DWi 612 Ta Brett

Alternator valve failure, officially.

Yep, Chris is right, Alternating valve fault but also need to check the wiring to the valve as there has been instances of poor connections on the 4 way plug. Its underneath just by the circ pump BTW.

Hi Chris —- THANKS the valve did work ok. But only for 2 washes. I’ve called to the cust again + it’s flashing F8 again. But whats happening is tht valve I fitted is clicking ???? ANY IDEA’S brett

I once had one of these with a plastic medicine spoon jamming it.Worth a look :rolls: ❓
