    I have a Smeg FC40RX stainless steel fridge freezer and the freezer will not get colder than -8 deg C.

    I’ve been quoted about £125 for another new thermostat ( plus £65 for fitting ) so I thought it was ripe for replacement.

    I thought I’d try and clean the condenser to see if that was the problem but can’t find it.

    It’s not on the back, underneath or behind a panel on the back.

    I’m confused !
