Ive recently purchased a replacement upper support for my smeg oven (890660173) and bought the recommended fixing screw (899371357) at the same time. Both items have arrived but the fixing screw does not fit the support, it is too fat. Is there an alternative screw that does fit?

    For what model?

Its for a model DOSP6390X. The screw provided doesn’t even fit the part, let alone the oven I need to fix it to.

On that model, they altered those.

899371357 is correct but the note on Smeg reads:

I’ve done exactly what the instruction above told me to do. What I’m saying is that the screw that is recommended does not fit the support. The screw is too fat for the hole in the support.

I have no idea, that’s what the Smeg factory system says is correct.
