ParticipantCan anybody help?
We have ordered part number 931330815 hinges for SMEG A1-5
Customer has disposed of old hinges so can not compare, door is being fitted correctly but hinges will not lock into place on female hinge.
Spoke to smeg technical they have said part numbers are correct and have ordered them twice. Still wrong.
Does anyone know if there is anything that needs to be done prior to fitting the hinges.
Cheers

I think you need part no 931330532 these lock with the tab latch on the hinge not the pin .I went to an A1-1 today and they fitted no worries

Hi Martin (323) yer tried the pins. Just can’t position the hinges far enough back in to the female hinge to lock them into place so you can remove the pin. Its like they are too big and wont slot in past the front cabinet.
Hi Lawrence, I spoke to smeg and they have assured me the part number 931330815 is correct for the A1-5 but i will try the part you mentioned.
Cheers Guys.
Any more info appreciated

If its the pin hinges I had a pair that almost reduced me to tears once ,the trick is to open the hinge out and then some !by that I mean that once you think you have it far enough give some more and it will line up another set of hinges ,I used long nose mole grips I think to hold it at the first stage ,but maybe if you could put them in a vice and pin them out before you go that would be easier .

Putting the pins in is the easy bit, it’s just trying to locate the hinges in the female hinges that isn’t
