I have read the warning about diy gas repairs, but I’m hoping I can fix this without disconnectiing gas
15 yr old smeg SRV575GH5 5 burner hob. It’s been great. Starting today the 3 knobs on the left don’t provoke a spark, but the 2 on the right still do (normally any knob being pushed does provoke a spark on all 5 burners). I’m guessing a wire has come adrift. Does that sound right? Is it doable?
It is most probably the switches that are faulty, item 73023 on the diagram (part number 694490712) but to replace them, the hob deck needs to come up.
