I have a Smeg cooker about 10 years old, model UK80MFX1.
After using oven with auto time set, the cooker lost power. I have checked the power point and it is OK and the fuse is OK. The cooker now has no disply on the clock, no fan, no spark to ignite the gas. It seems no power at all on the cooker. The cooktop is ok to use the gas when ignited by matches. It looks the cooker was switched off from inside. Advice much appreciated.

If the power is okay your first port of call is the mains terminal block, then the timer. I can’t recall if there’s anything else in the way of those, but I don’t think there is.

    Thanks for your advice.
Is there any separate fuse for the mains terminal block? I wonder whether I can do some simple checks before calling Smeg Engineer.

No fuse, they normally just burn out.

Beyond that it’s a case of following the wiring and see what’s bust.
