SMEG oven (SE2010MFX) door glass repair

Hi all,

I have shattered the inner door glass on my SMEG multi pyro oven and am looking to do the repair myself. I have found the correct part online but was wondering if anyone can give me a few tips on replacing the glass.

Removing the door and beginning to remove the inner panel screws seems simple enough but having done repairs to other appliances I am aware that there will probably be some fiddly stuff later on and a few pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Nothing too fiddly in there but you need to note the order everything comes apart in. it may well be triple glazed with various seals and spacers and its easy to get in a muddle when you re-assemble it. You also need to discover why the door glass broke, it possibly is a faulty oven thermostat.

I have a similar problem and I wondered if you established if there was a related cause. Also, I ordered replacement glass along with a new inner door seal. Was there anything else that you needed to effect the repair?
