    We’ve had this machine for about 13 or 14 yrs and nearly 2 yrs ago it stopped working properly. It fills up with water but does not start washing. After a while you can smell burning fumes and we then turn it off and the water drains away. If I remember correctly, we turn the programme dial to coax the machine into draining the water away. I think the electronics might be ok but I can’t figure out what the problem could be otherwise. We would really hate to lose this machine because in our opinion, it is superior to many modern ones. My sister has a recent Smeg model and it is poor in comparison with ours.

    Time to call it a day on this one!

    “Burning fumes?”…..and machine out of action for 2 years???… NO CHANCE on a cheap fix I’m afraid, Main Circulation Pump shot I reckon 🙁
