Smeg ‘pulsing’ fault and unlisted error code

Hi, this is the third time I’ve come across the same fault on Smeg integrated Dishwashers with the older type control board (ie not the smaller one with tiny surface mounted components). It’s the board with a total of 7 LEDs but only 5 are visible on the panel. The last two of the 5 are lit (not flashing) and the machine seems to attempt to start (two bleeps and action from the outlet pump) lasts about 1/2 a second then stops and tries again forever. The board tests out ok on QER’s test rig in Workington, the main pressure switch seems ok and the wiring seems good. I see other people have had the same fault here, anyone got any ideas (preferably backed up by bitter experience) 😕
