called late on today to replace twin grill element in range cooker

duly fitted element returned cooker back to wall. tested grill all Ok

client just rang to say none of the gas rings work!!!! as she is about to cook supper.

ANY ideas what may be the problem, I am not aware of anything i may have done by just removing back cover plate and re-fitting back.

I did not remove gas flexible, just rear plate to get to grill screws/connections.

There is no hinged cover over hob burners

    many thanks

Probably the bayonet connection was not pushed in and twisted when fitted so when you have moved the cooker the bayonet has moved out slightly causing the gas to go off…..

Just needs pushing back in tight and being given a quater to half a turn to lock it in the on position.

    thanks for reply

yes gas connection had twisted to off position, stiff knarled joint had caused prob

WD cleared stiffness ( on knarl I mean)
