My Smeg SCP495X-8 interior oven light blew, while it was heating and now I have no heat. The clock and timer still function, but it does not heat on any of the various oven modes, however the fan still works as I can feel cold air blowing on the fan mode. I replaced the blown light bulb, but the new bulb does not light the interior. It’s only 4 years old, so what part do I need to get to restore the heat and light to this oven?

Can anyone out there give me any pointers? Last time I called an engineer out it cost me £170! At those rates I may be better off buying a new oven. Anyone please?

No simple pointers we can give on this. Oven lamps blowing main control boards are commonplace with various makes including Smeg. Selector switches can also have fused (burnt out) contacts when the lamp or heating elements blow. I fear another costly fix is coming your way. 🙁
