    Hi ALl,
My next door neighbour has just advised that her oven has packed up. As i have always found this website really helpful (saved me a fortune when my oven sensor packed up), i thought i would give it go to try to help her.
it is a Smeg SE335 built in oven. apparently they were using it the other day as normal, when it suddenly tripped the house fuse box. After resetting the fuse box, they were able to switch the oven back on, but although the fan runs and the oven light comes on, it does not heat up. Does anyone have any ideas, before they contact a repair person? Failing that, does anyone know of a repair person that covers Ringwood, Hampshire. many thanksin advance. 😉

Sounds very much like the fan oven element has failed.

Power off before investigating further or if needing a reliable local engineer use the Find an engineer link on this site.

    Regards
