    Hi there,

I just bought a flat and there is a Smeg SE398X oven installed. Unfortunately it has some parts missing for reasons unknown, so I have bought them with a mind to intalling them myself.

    The parts:
2 x knobs & bushes easy to fit
1 x programmer/clock part # 29617 – this is the problem. There are four blades on the clock, and four blade plugs on the oven. On the clock, two blades are marked N and L respectively and I assume these are neutral and live. The other two blages are part of a ceramic block on the left and it is not marked which is which.

The 3 wires with plugs on the oven are as follows:
One is a double wire that is orange coloured and I would assume it is the live one.
The other two are white and one is a double wire with one lug on the two wires, the other is one wire with two plugs on it a few inches apart.

If someone could tell me what to plug where I should be up and running – i’ve already spent £200 on the parts.

    Thanks in advance,

    Julian

Julian, due to EU legislation and manufacturers copyrights we are unable to give you that sort of technical information, sorry 🙁

Please let us know your postcode as we may be able to offer some help by way of an independant engineer who is also a Smeg agent and will have that technical info available to them.

    Regards.

    Dave.
