    Hi

Our dishwasher seems to have given up mid cycle, it is making a loud ‘whirring/buzzing’ noise and no water is coming through on the rinse cycle.

I’m thinking the pump has blown? It’s not something I want to tackle on my own, so can anyone recommend either an easy fix (if I’m missing something obvious?) or a good Smeg engineer in the Horsham, West sussex area who can visit quickly as we hate getting our hands wet 😀

    Thanks in advance

    Ian

The pump impellor has probably sheared off the pump shaft. The impellor and housing can be bought as a spare, which should keep the costs down.

To find a local engineer please type you post code into the “Repairs@” facility – click the link below.

    Hi

Thanks for the reply, I tried the Repairs@ as a first port of call, but no joy, there is no registered coverage in my area.

    In that case………
Mr Conway has a little list – pm to Dave_Conway and he may be able to help.
