    dishwasher showing E3 error- not heating water properly apparently.
    starts up ok and seems to fill with water but after makes a grinding sound and if you open door when it should be cleaning no water is there.

    any ideas or can i reset and how

    Normal fill level is up to salt cap nut. Sounds like wash pump is not working. Gives E3 error because water is not sprayed against sensor in door.
