    Hi all.Have got a smeg stx dishwasher with fault code E8. Looked in error codes and not listed. Found dispenser solenoid gone (thought horray, found it) But NOPE not that.Found sump to salt chamber pipe blocked NOPE not that.Checked PCB nothing obvious.Bloody things doing my head in.Sometimes it comes up while doing the initial pump out and sometmes it fills ,releases tablet(now), washes for 5-10 mins then E8.PS checked heater and thats ok……HELP ….PLEASE 🙁 🙁 🙁

    Alternator valve is not functioning. This diverts water between the top and bottom rotors.

    There are 10 STX dishwashers, plus the UKSTX machines – please find full model number (label on edge of door).
