C1 one indicates test programme selected. Try the following – With the door open, switch on, wait 3 seconds and press P button twice quickly.
Might clear it.

Ain’t no such thing as a factory re-set…… There is a re-set procedure applicable to the “5 LED” machines, but not appropriate to yours. Slightly worrying as well in that there is no reference to any “F1” code in any available tech info.
These machines are susceptible to corruption issues – there is an article HERE relating to the 5 LED machines. The basics apply to yours too, with the addition of the motor start/run capacitor occasionally wreaking havoc as well.
If you wish to keep the appliance, I would recommend getting help. They’re technically complicated beasts and can be singularly awkward to diagnose. Often, the only way to eleiminate a component is to substitute it. This is an expensive way for a non-trade person to fix it.
Power off if you are going to go in.

😉 thanks Penquin,
It has had a history of not working when given a day off for some strange reason in the past with a double beep and no reaction to the programme buttonand failed this time on retrun from a two week hol
I was thinking of refurbishing the PCB as a last attempt.
