Hi, The main oven in my Smeg SUK62 dual fuel cooker isn’t heating up any more. The fan still works but there’s no heat and also the LED light next to the knob doesn’t light up.

I’ve seen similar questions about other Smeg cookers where the advice is to fit a new element but I wondered if it could be some kind of thermostat problem instead since the LED light next to the oven knob doesn’t come on?

Does it sound like fitting a new element will fix the problem?

    Thanks,
    Andy

    Many thanks for reply.

I guess the obvious question now is how easy is it to fit a thermostat yourself?

    Are there any instructions anywhere?

7 different SUK62 models, BD – find the full designation to allow part identification.

All models require the front panel, top and rear to removed for access.
