    Hi

The inner glass of the large oven door broke. I have got a replacement from UKWhitegoods as well as two gaskets. I also found instructions on this forum as to how to replace the glass (two screws at the bottom of the door and remove the handle). Two questions please:
    a. the glass has a black band around it, is the “painted” black matt side meant to be facing the oven cavity or is it meant to be the clean shiny glass side that goes towards the cavity?
    b. as there are another two panes of glass inside the door, is it important that I take them apart for cleaning? (I don’t care for the aesthetics).

    Thank you
    Charles

the painted black band must be somewhere it cant be scratched off therfore it must face into the door

Yup. The black faces into the door and the shiny side into the cavity (the conclusion from cleaning the other door + your comment). Only to flatten the gaskets now so I don’t use the old ones 😐

    Thank you Electrofix.
