Smeg Top Oven/Grill element

I need to replace the oven /grill element on a smeg A42 the element is slightly different to the original, the supplier says that a slight modification is required. Can anyone tell me what this modification is? Thanks

It depends which version of A42 you have (there’s a few), if you check the rating plate around the door there should be some letters and/or numbers after A42 🙂

Hi Dave
Iveactually fitted the part the part number is 806890527 from Smeg the difference being th original has a support towards the front tnew one has a differentsupport bar tat now extends the full width of the cavity and rests on the top of the gil pad rails
