ParticipantHaving a problem with this machine. It intermittently skips to the end of the cycle mid rinse. I’ve checked all the usual, ie pressure switch resetting to empty, pump blockages and tested all valves, meggered everything. It appears to occur when pumping, pump seems to crash the processor. Has anybody come across this before on smeg ? It used to happen on early wm range Hotpoints and there was a fix putting a suppressor across 2 terminals on the pressure switch. Have any of you Hotpoint guys still got access to the tech bulletin on that as it’d be worth a try. Thanks guys. Wizard.

This machine still causing problems. Actually ended up fitting a new pump, also found a coin in the sump hose & seemed ok for a couple of weeks. Now it’s up to it’s old tricks again. Basically it aborts the program and advances to the end of the program at the beginning of the rinses, leaving the machine full of water. It’ll never do it when I’m there and I’ve checked pump/ hoses/ pressure switch resetting/inlet valves on every visit & they’re always OK. It must be finding a fault and aborting but this model has no display or leds to indicate a code.
Any pointers greatly appretiated ‘cos this one’s driving me nuts !Thanks, Wizard.
