SMEG UK60MFX cooker

Have a SMEG UK60MFX cooker that cuts out the thermal switch before it gets to 150*centigrade in the fan oven?
Element and fan unit ok but has a Bosch part number 057895 temperature limiter fitted on the back with a red spot type Z42K A115KG and measures an intermittent resistance of 10-50 ohms.
Cannot find on the internet the actual temp cut off point of this thermal cut out unit?
Anybody out there who knows the actual temp for this item, is it 170 or190* centigrade as the oven can go up to 265 and there is no fan cooling system on this one at the back.

818730566 is he smeg part number and it is 140 degrees. Should be pretty much no resistance across the terminals.

Will dig a bit further to see if anybody knows what the Bosch temp cutout value is that has been fitted on the back. Amazing that Bosch do not show the temp stamped on the thermal switch.

140 degrees sounds rather low as it is directly screwed to the backplate of the cooker and there is only convection to keep it cool?

Have not stripped down a UK60MFX cooker before, I take it there is no cooling fan at the top of the cooker underneath the gas hob?

As you have said you have a resistance of “10-50 ohms. ” then you have found your problem, fit the correct item, its not for you to change the original spec.
No, there is no cooling can on this one and the correct stat is retained by a screw on clip rather than being screwed to the back panel. Maybe whoever fitted the bosch item has not sited it correctly.

Maybe also need to check oven temperature incase the thermostat is faulty.

That’s really helped me out as the owner of the cooker was getting desperate with Christmas coming up and parts being delayed by the snow.
Will change it with a 140* thermal cut out and not waist time hunting for a cooling fan.
Thermostat was checked out ok with a thermocouple put inside the fan oven.

As usual, a great website with lots of help.

Just need to mention that there is also a UK60MFX1 model which does have a cooling fan fitted under the hob, just make sure you have the correct model number.

Yes did find out that there is a cooling fan when I was looking for spares at around £150 which was why I had asked.
