I have a couple of burners on my UK80MFX1 which have a tendancy to go out, and are hard to light if the oven is hot, it is, and always has been, because of the thermocouples – is there any adjustment that can be made? I understand the earthing issue. Dom.

    Hi Dom
    There are no adjustments.
I would get the appliance checked out by a corgi engineer just incase there is a fault, as you said they have a tendancy to go out. This could indicate an oxygen starvation, faulty thermocouple/gas tap or flame not touching thermocouple.

Please do not undertake any gas repair yourself.

Thanks Greg, the rings on the burners only have four possible positions, none of which have the flame touching the thermocouple, very bad design (or incorrect rings)… I still think it is an excellent cooker though. Dom.
