SMEG UK80MFX1 Oven Fan Not Working

I have a SMEG electric fan assisted oven – model number UK80MFX1. The fan has stopped working after a short period of being more noisy than usual. I can see the heating element around the fan is heating up and glowing but the fan no longer rotates.

Is this a DIY job to replace the fan unit (motor and fan?) or best left to the experts?

You will need a sound basic knowledge of electrics for safety’s sake, and a basic degree of mechanical skills too but the job doesn’t need any special tools to do other than screwdrivers etc.

Do you know what parts I need to replace the fan? I have checked the manual that came with the cooker and this is not covered.

you will need the fan motor assembly which is available from the shop or e-mail dave conway.
