My Smeg UKSTX45 dishwasher reported an error code of E3, I asked smeg about it but they just told me to get an engineer out. Is there any way I can reset it to see if it reoccurs? It will not start a program now, the LCD display has three wavy lines with a cross over them and to the right of that are the numbers 1/2

E3 is a “not heating” error.
Resetting will have no effect I’m afraid as the fault will still exist afterwards.
As Smeg service advised, you will need an engineer to diagnose and rectify the fault for you.
Let us know your postcode, there’s planty of engineers here who should be able to assist.
