Smeg WashDryer WD16BA

Went to the above this morning and the machine stopped half way thru cycle and now refuses to start,
The door locks and the timer/selector switch whirls followed by silence on all programs. Tested motor,pump,valves, interlock and anti flood switch in base and now suspect timer + module unless anyone can think of anything else that could cause this fault

have you defo looked at those brushes? The initial whirl of the timer is a test sequence, if it finds anything out of order it will not start. Module could have dry joint on motor relay giving same fault symptom as brushes.

Spot On Estimark it was a dry joint on motor relay both customer and me now very happy
