ParticipantI have a Smeg washer dryer about 3 yrs old, just started making a funny noise only when drying. Washing function is normal. I have checked the drum and as far as I can tell nothing stuck. Sounds like a lolly stick in spokes of bike wheel. Anybody any ideas please. Here is link to short video. https://www.dropbox.com/s/rugbayar625a9ci/VID20201114135419.mp4?dl=0

Thanks Dave. Just as an aside would it be easier to replace or to fix in your opinion.

Moderatorits only the fan caching so may be a warped fan which should not be too bad
at 3 years old its should be well worth it as smegs are a bit above average in quality
as long as the rest of the machine is on it will be fine
but theres no guarentee
have you got a model no ?

Hi Dave thanks for your pic yesterday invaluable help. Finally got it done after very carefully taking it apart all morning. I hope what I found was the offending item a bit of plastic wrapped round one of the blades. Will only know once I put back together link to pic thanks again. Will let you know if it works. Saved a fortune if it does.
