    I have a smeg washing machine which has stopped working, it fills with water and turns drum once then stops, nothing else happens even when turning the programmer forward…any help?

    Is the single turn of the drum quite violent?

    yes, when it turns it does seem more violent than usual

    Have a read of this:

    Your machine also uses a version of the ZEM/Sole motor and is prone to the same problem. If no speed control is detected by the computer, it shuts down. I have seen one or two with broken wiring around the motor plug/socket area, which can give the same result.

    Power off, of course.
